Enterprise workflow data
Mercor data partnerships
Mercor licenses business records for AI development and pays companies for approved datasets. Its program covers multiple industries and tools, so eligibility depends on the opportunity rather than one universal employee threshold. Start by identifying a relevant data category and the connected records your company can authorize for review.

Who it’s for
Who is Mercor’s data program for?
Mercor’s data program identifies legal, healthcare, finance, professional services, manufacturing, retail, real estate and logistics use cases. Its examples include Slack, email, Salesforce, GitHub and Notion. An export from a familiar tool still needs relevant content, sufficient depth and appropriate rights.
Read the requirements for your particular category. For example, its legal-data listing focuses on complete files from closed matters or completed transactions and excludes active matters. A detailed category brief is more useful than assuming all company records qualify.
Get prepared
What should you prepare?
Organize the opportunity by system, business process and outcome. A small, clear scope description is easier to evaluate than a list of every application the company uses.
- Category: Identify the sector or type of work the proposed records document.
- Record depth: Note dates, completed cases or projects, and whether supporting attachments remain available.
- Connections: Describe links between messages, source documents and final decisions.
- Excluded material: Flag active work, restricted client files and records with uncertain licensing rights.
- Approval route: Identify the company decision-maker and the person responsible for the agreed export.
A manufacturer might describe work orders connected to inspections and maintenance outcomes. That is an illustrative inventory, not evidence of acceptance. Our business data licensing guide explains how to turn an inventory into a first inquiry.
Revenue & payments
How does payment work?
Mercor says compensation depends on data volume, connected tools and depth, and that it covers extraction, anonymization and transfer costs. Its payment FAQ describes payment by wire after the anonymized dataset is delivered to the buyer. Obtain the actual acceptance and payment conditions in the offer.
Ask whether the quote covers one dataset or additional deliveries, how incomplete records affect the price, and who pays for any work your own team must perform. Keep data-owner payments separate from the industry-specific referral bonuses shown in Mercor’s referral portal.
Rights & control
Which licensing terms deserve attention?
Mercor states that no data leaves the company’s systems until it is approved and describes an automated de-identification process. Confirm the agreed access method, export boundaries and review evidence before connecting systems. Source: Mercor’s infrastructure and data-control overview.

When should you compare another platform?
Compare Replay when an upfront-plus-revenue-share model is relevant, or Defined.ai when you hold a separately packaged specialist dataset. Use the licensing-model guide to compare scope and payment conditions consistently.
Good questions, clear answers
Questions before you apply
Is Mercor’s data program the same as its expert jobs?
No. This profile covers licensing company-controlled records. Paid work as an individual expert follows a separate application and compensation process.
Is there a company-wide minimum headcount?
The public data program does not give one universal minimum. Individual opportunities specify their own company size and data requirements.
Should I send files through Data Mining Masters?
No. This is an editorial directory. Begin with the provider’s official inquiry process and transfer data only through the process agreed with that provider.
